Live real-world example

Once you have read the tutorial and familiarised yourself with the basics, we recommend that you follow the worked example below, which is a real  bet that you can place now (updated every 5 minutes with the latest odds).

You can find many similar bets on the todays bet page, but the example below has extra information to help you learn as you earn, including screenshots of the betting screens. As the bet updates every 5 minutes, the screenshots are updated dynamically.

Open the necessary accounts

Click here to go to Coral, click open account and fill in the registration form. Once complete, deposit £10 into your new account using your card.

Now click here to go to Betfair Again, open an account and deposit £10 .

Always make sure that all funds are in place before proceeding to place any bets to avoid complication.

Place the BACK bet in the bookmaker

We need to place a bet in the bookmaker using the money you deposited. Once you have placed this bet you will be credited with the free bet.

So in Coral navigate to the "English Barclays Premier League Football " using the top menu. You will then see the betting screen below. Click the check box corresponding to Aston Villa  and then click "Add to slip".

You will then see the betting screen appear. Type in your stake of £10 as highlighted in the red circle below and submit and confirm your bet.

Place the FREE bet in the bookmaker

After you place the bet above in Coral, go back to the home page. You will notice that your balance is still £10. This is because you have been credited with a £10 free bet. Continue to place the same bet again, this time the £10 free bet will be used instead of your own real money stake.

Place the LAY in the bookmaker

We now need to lay the same outcome in betfair with the correct stake. This ensures that you have all outcomes covered, making just a small 'acceptable loss' in order obtain the free bet.

To lay your bet click on the PINK box corresponding to Aston Villa , stating odds of 1.44  as highlighted with the red circle below.

You will then notice the betting slip appearing on the right hand side. Type in £20.86  for your lay stake, as shown with the red square below and your liability of £9.18  will be displayed. Submit and confirm your bet.

That's it - all outcomes are now covered.

Whatever happens, the profit made in one site will more than cover the losses incurred in the other and leave you with £9.82  profit.

  • If Aston Villa  win you will make £19  profit in Coral and lose the £9.18  liability in betfair, leaving you with £9.82  profit.
  • If Aston Villa do not  do not win, or the game is a draw you will make £19.82  profit in betfair (your lay stake minus 5% commission) and lose the £10  deposited in Coral, leaving you with £9.82  profit.
  • Regardless of the result, if you opened a new account with betfair you will also receive £10 in your account within 48 hours which can be withdrawn straight away.

That's a total of £19.82  overall profit.

Don't forget that all the best bets are available precalculated on today's bets.
